Winterslow Loop (21miles)

Start point – 5 Rivers Leisure Centre

  1. Leave 5-Rivers via the cycle path towards Stratford-sub-castle.
  2. Turn right in to Hudson Road then make your way to Castle Road and on to the Old Castle pub.
  3. Turn right before the pub then go up the hill and around the back of the pub then turn right onto the Ford road.
  4. Go through Ford then take the next turning left.
  5. At the double mini-roundabout across the railway bridge, turn right over the bridge then left.
  6. Continue on this road up the hill to the A30 junction.
  7. Turn left onto the A30 then after 150 metres take the right turn towards Pitton.
  8. Continue on this road up and over the hill then into Pitton village.
  9. At the Crossroads junction in Pitton village turn left.
  10. Continue on this road until the crossroads at the Windmill.
  11. At the Windmill crossroads turn right towards West Winterslow.
  12. Continue on this road up and over the hill.
  13. Take the next left turn towards West Winterslow.
  14. Continue into West Winterslow village and take the next left after the Pub.
  15. After 150 metres take the next left and continue down the hill to the A30 traffic lights. Caution on this hill as the left hand bend at the bottom of the hill is sharp and usually covered in gravel.
  16. Turn left onto the A30 then immediately right towards Porton.
  17. Continue on this road up and over the hill past Porton camp into Porton village.
  18. At the crossroads turn left towards Gomeldon.
  19. Go through Gomeldon until the A338 T junction in Winterbourne Gunner.
  20. Turn Left onto the A338 towards Salisbury and continue on this road through the Winterbournes until the double mini-roundabout across the railway bridge.
  21. At the first mini-roundabout turn right towards Ford.
  22. At the T junction at the bottom of the hill turn right and continue through Ford village up the hill towards the Old Castle pub.
  23. At the T junction turn left, go round the back of the pub then left again onto Castle road.
  24. Continue down Castle road towards Salisbury, turn right into Butts road and left again back to 5 Rivers.

Amesbury Loop (22 miles)

Start point – 5 Rivers Leisure Centre

  1. Leave 5-Rivers and proceed along the cycle path north towards Stratford Sub-castle.
  2. At the end of the cycle path turn left and join the Woodford road.
  3. Continue on this road through the Woodfords until the T junction at west Amesbury.
  4. Turn right towards Amesbury town centre to the crossroads/traffic lights.
  5. Continue straight on at the Crossroads/Traffic lights up the hill.
  6. At the Tesco roundabout take the 1st exit (turning left).
  7. At the A303 roundabout take the 3rd exit (turning right).
  8. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit (going straight on).
  9. At the next roundabout take 1st exit (going straight on).
  10. At the next roundabout (entrance to Boscombe Down) turn right.
  11. Continue straight on, down dead end road, through cycleway at the end.
  12. At the end of the cycle way, cross main road down smaller road towards Great Durnford. Caution on the downhill bends before the village as the bends are very tight and can be covered in gravel.
  13. Continue on this road through Great Durnford until the T junction at Upper Woodford.
  14. Turn right then go over the river bridge, then turn left and continue on this road through the Woodfords back towards Salisbury.
  15. At Stratford Sub-castle turn right onto the cycle path then back into the 5 rivers leisure centre.

There are many different combinations of hill reps that can be completed. Some occasions the same hill will be done up to 5 times.
