Risk Assessments

Risk Assessments

No one wants to have an accident and therefore the SRAMCC have carried out General Risk Assessments for our club’s social rides.

The assessments highlight potential dangers relating to participation in “club runs” but are subject to a Dynamic Assessment on the day depending on such factors as the abilities and numbers of the riders participating, the prevailing weather conditions and any known issues or changes to the planned routes and destinations. These will be announced at the pre-ride briefing before the rides depart. There may be additional instructions and advice given by the ride leaders and other riders during the ride itself. Communication of information between all riders is to be encouraged to ensure a safe and successful ride.

The MTB Risk Assessment should be read alongside the Road Rides Risk Assessment as it contains a few extra points specific to trail riding.

Note that the Road Bike Risk Assessment has been updated on 29th March 2021 to cover COVID precautions and Government/BC Guidance as we move out of Lockdown
